So we had our first day of school a couple of months ago. Yes, I’m terribly slow this year. I must say that homeschooling with a baby is hard, much less blogging with a baby. But together? Not a chance that both can get done consistently. And so blogging takes a backseat. 🙂
We had our annual treasure hunt. This year I made up three clues for each kid. The first clue led them to the location of the next clue and so on. It was great fun. I have pictures, but I can’t post them. It was pretty hot that day and the kids were all in their underwear for their first day of school. We only have cooling in one room, so they hung out in their underwear quite often last summer. 😉
The clues led them to look under the baby’s bed (my bed also since we co-sleep) for the box of new school supplies and games.
Wait, here’s a pic I can show! New school supplies. I don’t know why I waste money on those character pencils and such, they are always so cheap and don’t last. But the kids are really into Star Wars right now and it made them very happy.
Skeeterbug got a big notebook for some of his schoolwork this year. It’s nice to have it all in one place.
Turbobug was pretty happy with the new pencil he managed to grab. 🙂
We did exactly one week of school and then we took off in our caravan for two weeks. How lovely is that? Being able to holiday whenever we choose is a great perk of home educating!
