The spelling curriculum we use, All About Spelling, has us writing words on a whiteboard each day. Skeeterbug chooses to write his letters all crazy. It’s annoying for me because it takes extra time, but the results can be quite creative. As long as he is spelling correctly it really doesn’t matter to me how he writes it. We aren’t using it for penmanship practice, so go for it! This sounds like the name of a band (it probably is!):

“Ted is my twin.” That letter i has quite the dot on it! He gets very pleased with himself over the designs he comes up with. Whatever it takes to make spelling more fun! He always chooses to write rather than spell with the letter tiles if I give him the choice.
